With more than 20 microclimates, you can find the perfect light and mood for every type of photography: from romantic elopements to fun family sessions, maternity portraits, or poetic surf photoshoots at sunset.

We’re Jacob and Christine, a photographer couple who live and work in Tenerife.

Over the years, we’ve done hundreds of weddings, couples, family, and maternity photoshoots all over the island. We have created the brand: Tenerife Wedding Photographer by Jacob and Christine. South of Tenerife. Sun, Palm Trees, and Dreamy Beaches

The south is where the sun always (almost!) shines. This is where most resorts are located, but also where you’ll find many hidden gems.

Costa Adeje is warm, elegant, and full of golden light. You’ll find beaches perfect for romantic couples and family photoshoots, as well as high-end hotels for exclusive weddings. One of our favorite towns here is La Caleta de Adeje, ideal for intimate sunset sessions or elopements on the rocks. Try the local fish restaurants – and seriously, don’t sleep on this one!

In summer, when the tide is lower, this spot becomes perfect for sunbathing, swimming, and even a little crab hunting adventure with the kids. You'll also catch a breathtaking sunset behind La Gomera. (Don’t get us started on how amazing that island is – and yes, we offer photoshoots at La Gomera too!)


Playa La Enramada and Playa de los Morteros are stunning for barefoot beach weddings and poetic couple photos. These beaches are quieter and are stunningly beautiful in the perfect soft light of golden hour.

El Médano is a paradise for surfers, free spirits, and windy maternity or surf photoshoots. The iconic Montaña Roja creates a surreal background that’s perfect for cinematic portraits or engagement sessions full of movement and emotion.

Playa de la Montaña Pelada is one of our favorite spots for maternity, engagement, and portrait photoshoots. With its lunar landscape and hidden coves, it feels like another planet.

  • Puerto Santiago and Playa de los Guios offer a dramatic view of the Los Gigantes cliffs. This is where we’ve captured some of our most emotional family and couple images, with tears, love in the eyes, and cinematic light at sunset.
  • Playa Amarilla is a unique rocky beach near Las Galletas, great for portrait photoshoots and couples' love stories. Quite possibly one of the most breathtaking locations for an engagement photoshoot.
  • La Tejita is a wild, romantic beach near El Médano—perfect for dreamy maternity and couple shoots.
  • Los Abrigos has a beautiful bay, natural pools, and amazing fish restaurants.



North of Tenerife . Lush Nature and Quiet Villages

The north feels like a different island. Just a 40-minute drive from the south, you’ll enter cooler air, green valleys, and artistic towns.

  • In Icod de los Vinos, there's a little restaurant with a rooster on the wall - one of our most emotional stops. The area is full of charm and great for peaceful, lifestyle-style family photoshoots.
  • Garachico, a true gem.We spend every possible Sunday there. With its charming old town, stunning natural pools, and the legendary Fragola ice cream shop (easily Top 3 on the island), it’s a place that always feels special.
  • Buenavista and Punta de Teno – it’s been a while, but we have to go back. An unforgettable place, with its dramatic coastline, the peaceful town of Buenavista, and that iconic lighthouse standing guard at the edge of the island (which you see on a clear day while sitting at Playa de los Guios).
  • Puerto de la Cruz is a city we want to explore more, but we already love its artistic streets, urban beaches, and pools like Lago Martiánez. It’s perfect for couples who want something urban and local.
  • Just outside, you’ll find magical beaches like Playa de los Patos, Playa del Bollullo, and wild Playa de Benijo (Unique, one-of-a-kind, probably our favourite), surrounded by cliffs - ideal for every photoshoot, especially dramatic elopements or cinematic couple portraits.
  • Bajamar and Punta del Hidalgo are known for natural pools and mountain views. Great for adventurous surf photos, relaxed maternity sessions, or family photos with a rugged backdrop.
  • Above these towns, Anaga Rural Park hides lush laurel forests (bosques de laurisilva), perfect for misty engagement or portrait sessions in fairytale scenery.
  • San Andrés and Playa de Las Teresitas offer golden sand and palm trees—great for relaxed family and couple shoots.
  • Santa Cruz and La Laguna are full of history, architecture, and magic. We love the colorful streets, hidden parks, and artistic vibes for city-style portraits or engagement sessions.



Hidden Treasures Along the Way

Between the big towns, you’ll find smaller villages and untouched beaches, each with its own personality:

  • Bocacangrejo, Güímar, San Miguel de Tajao, Abades, Las Eras, Poris de Abona, each a little gem for off-the-beaten-path photography.

El Teide. On Top of the Island

Just 50 minutes by car from Adeje, you’ll be above the clouds. The Teide National Park offers moon-like volcanic views, pine forests, and mountain villages like Vilaflor. We love to shoot intimate elopements and engagement sessions here, especially during golden hour or sunrise.

There are also picnic areas, hidden viewpoints, and roads carved in lava that are perfect for epic cinematic portraits or family photos with a unique backdrop.
