how does a surprise proposal photo session work?
option 1: the complete surprise
We meet at your chosen location, either at sunrise or sunset. I'll be waiting on the beach, blending in as a regular tourist. You arrive with your partner, and when you kneel with the ring at our pre-arranged spot,
I approach with my camera and start capturing photos and video.
After she says yes, we continue with a relaxed couple love story on the beach until the sun sets. The atmosphere is natural, the emotions are genuine, and the photos always turn out beautifully.
option 2: the hidden proposal
You tell your partner you've arranged a couple photoshoot. She knows about the photoshoot, but not the proposal. We start with 10 minutes of relaxed photoshoot Then I suggest taking a few portrait shots and positioning her with her back to you. That's your signal, you kneel and I ask her to turn around!
A surprise proposal during a planned photoshoot has a major advantage: your partner already knows about the session, so she will have chosen an outfit she feels confident an prepared.

We’re Jacob and Christine, a couple in life and photography, capturing love stories in an emotional, cinematic, and poetic way.
We focus on real connection. Our images are timeless, romantic, and full of soul. We don’t force poses. Instead, we gently guide you, helping you feel relaxed, present, and connected. It is your big day and we totally understand and feel it! We also photographed our surprise proposal a few years ago, using a tripod and a timer!

At what time can we meet?
Perfect golden hour lighting. We schedule sessions around sunset or at sunrise for the best natural light. We are also open to meeting you at your preferred time of the day.
How long do we wait for our on-line gallery?
Normally it takes 2-3 weeks to deliver galleries in all kinds of our photoshoots. For the engagement photoshoots we offer 48h delivery for additional 50 EUR.
